NFC Label Applications | MPI Label Systems
Wireless sensors: NFC tags can enable wireless sensor applications, where the NFC interface can be used not only for data transfer but also for powering sensors by harvesting energy from the RF field of the reader. One such application is hermetically sealed (air-tight) glass encapsulated sensor nodes. In addition to contact cards and video links, other types of data can also be stored on NFC tags. These include concrete locations / addresses, smartphone settings, phone numbers and SMS and e-mail templates. Writing from the NFC stickers is in principle very simple. Here we explain how it works and what is needed for it: Android / iPhone. NFC-enabled portable devices can be provided with application software, for example, to read electronic tags or make payments when connected to an NFC-compliant apparatus. Earlier close-range communication used technology that was proprietary to the manufacturer for applications such as stock tickets, access control and payment readers. As of April 2011, several hundred trials of near-field communication have been conducted. Some firms have moved to full-scale service deployments, spanning either a single country or multiple countries.
